Mr. Yonghuai Zhang
Born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China in1951, Yonghuai Zhang developed an intense fondness for Chinese calligraphy since his childhood. Grown up in a family that has a deep root in Chinese calligraphy, Yonghuai Zhang has been practicing hard for years under the guidance of his first mentor. He holds the opinion that compared to the ancient calligraphy works, the modern calligraphy works are better permeated with zeitgeist. Therefore he insisted on not coping ancient calligraphy factions and formed his own elegant and steady style of calligraphy. Yonghuai Zhang’s calligraphy works have received many awards from many domestic and international competitions and recognized by media and public. As a member of International Qigong Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute and China Calligrapher Association, Yonghuai Zhang has created many calligraphy works that are included in multiple notable collections.
